I am loving this table topper. I still need to put the binding on it, but love the way it turned out. Leisa did a wonderful job of quilting it, as she usually does. This is one of the celebrations series from Pat Wys over at Silver Thimble Quilt Co. This was also the first project that I made using a combination of wool and cotton. All of the wool was my own hand dyed creations. This was what started me on my love of wool journey.
Close up of one of the trees. All of the trees, the snowmen, snowflakes were made from wool. The other pieces are just a combination. Many of the small pieces I decided to do from wool because it was easier, and I didn't have to do needle turn.
Love my snowmen!
This is my very first "original" design for wool. I wanted a new pillow for fall and decided to create one of my own design. All I have left to do is actually make it into a pillow. I have the pillow form ready to go. I am trying to decide exactly how to make it so that it will be easy to change out. I want to make a "words to live by" pillow for each month and be able to change it out easily. I have already had two people ask for the pattern and a kit. If you are interested checkout the store or send me an email.
Last weekend I was a vendor at the Chattachooee Evening Stars Quilt Show. I found out about the show a couple of months ago and thought why not try to get in as a vendor, after contacting the group I was excited to find out they were still taking vendor contracts. I have been really busy the last month getting everything ready for the show. You can see my booth below. I was pleased with the way it looked overall, of course I know several things that I would do differently the next time I am in a show. I was extremely pleased with how well I did. Wish I didn't have a "real" job and could do this all of the time.
I am constantly adding more products to my store so keep checking back.
